Introduction to Social Justice in Educational Settings

COURSE DESCRIPTION

Introduces the concepts of social justice, especially as it relates to access to education.  Explores educational institutions as systems and questions how individuals can be agents of change in teaching, learning, curriculum, and administration.  Offers students an opportunity to engage in reflective discussion and begin to explore their own feelings and experiences with social justice and development of cultural intelligence to prepare them to influence and advocate for systemic change.
